Renewing Vows and Changing Names

March 10, 2023

Nikki and Ian’s Vow Renewal at 14TENN was the true definition of a Sunday Funday!

The couple was legally married during the pandemic, but still wanted to celebrate with their family and friends — and celebrate, they did!

The couple chose 14TENN since our space is very open and can easily accommodate a live band. Since both Nikki and Ian are in the music industry, having live music was a must.

14TENN’s Planning team took care of all of the details, and helped bring their moody-elegant vow renewal to life!

The ceremony was set European style, so guests were able to remain at their seats for the reception, rather than having to rearrange the space.

For the reception, the couple chose a minimalist table setting with bud vases filled with peach, rust, and burgundy tone florals, clean, neutral linens and tableware, and wooden folding chairs.

Even with a minimalistic style, not a single detail was left out. The couple ordered custom-made candles with their dog’s face on the lid, and had them placed at each table setting.

The pup of honor, Jasper, was also in attendance, since 14TENN is pet-friendly! The well-dressed trio took the sweetest photos, and loved being able to include their pup in their day.

Throughout the evening, guests were able to leave a voicemail for the couple to listen to later, via a vintage phone, rather than utilizing a traditional guest book! Everyone loved this trendy feature, and left messages all night long!

In an effort to keep the event casual, comfortable, and add pops of color and texture, a sage and gold colored lounge set was brought in from Southern Events, which elevated the space and was the perfect spot for guests to relax when they needed a break from the dance floor!

While the room was being rearranged from ceremony to reception, a big surprise was brought in! Nikki had booked AlphaLit letters to spell out their last name in front of the band’s stage as a surprise for Ian, to reveal that she had taken his last name!

In honor of the bride’s family being from Louisiana, Dream Events and Catering provided a delicious poutine bar, complete with french fries, gravy and cheese curds, and a dessert station with a variety of dessert shooters!

Guests danced the night away to music from Premier Global Production & Spectrum Sound Nashville, and went home with full stomachs and full hearts!
