Kaitlynn and Nathan were among the fortunate few to have not one, but two loves of their lives walk down the aisle on their wedding day. Their special moment was made even more magical as their daughter, accompanied by their beloved dog, took on the role of flower girl.
Emotions ran high at their wedding ceremony at 14TENN in the fall of 2023. The venue was adorned with breathtaking fall florals, complemented by the groomsmen’s grey suits and the bridesmaids’ mismatched green dresses. The scene was truly enchanting!
In May 2020, Nathan and Kaitlynn were introduced by a mutual friend, sparking a connection that led to a six-hour-long first date filled with uninterrupted conversation. From that moment on, their journey together unfolded rapidly.
Relocating from Chicago to Nashville in 2021, their lives became a whirlwind of milestones, including buying a home, getting married, and welcoming a baby, among other adventures.
Fast forward to planning their wedding; their vision was light and airy, embodying a blend of modern boho aesthetics infused with the freshness of summer transitioning into fall, perfectly reflecting their late September celebration. 828 Planning helped to bring the vision to life in partnership with the couples’ other vendors.
“To me, our florals told the story,” said Kaitlynn.
The couple was set up by a mutual friend, and both knew they found the one after a six-hour-talking-nonstop first date.
Months later, Nathan surprised Kaitlynn with a date night at Cheekwood, a botanical garden in Nashville, where he proposed while her friend hid behind the scenes capturing the whole thing on her camera!
Just like every couple, Kaitlynn and Nathan had to decide when and where to splurge and save on their wedding. The couple splurged on food (the most important to them) and saved on small details like favors.
In true Nashville fashion, their first dance was to a country song: Forever After All by Luke Combs.
Kaitlynn’s favorite moments from their day including having their 6-month old daughter and their dog come down the aisle as their flower girls! “There wasn’t a dry eye in the room (mine included!),” said Kaitlynn.
The couple also did a first first dance with their daughter to Brett Young’s song, “Lady,” which further drove the happy tears!
