Long-Distance Wedding Planning at 14TENN

Abi and Dallas’ wedding day at 14TENN was recently featured on Nashville Bride Guide! The couple’s nontraditional love story began in Nashville, and they now reside in Portland, Oregon.

The two met at their former job — an animal hospital — where their friendship turned into love. A memorable night spent talking until 3 a.m. sparked the change from friendship to a deeper connection. After just six months of dating, Dallas asked Abi’s mother if he could marry Abi. During a birthday trip to Sedona, he popped the question.

Dallas brought Abi to the butterfly gardens in Sedona for a picnic, planned with the help of her mother. It was the perfect setup for Dallas to get down on one knee, and a hidden photographer capturing the moment! Abi was so surprised, as Dallas had recently claimed they weren’t ready to get engaged yet.

Once the dust settled, Abi and Dallas decided to hold the ceremony in Nashville so it would be closer to their families. They toured venues and decided on 14TENN. They loved that our blank canvas was customizable, but also included tables, chairs, and in-house planning services.

Now happily married, Abi and Dallas enjoy their life in Portland. Abi loves grandma-core hobbies like latch hooking, diamond art, and crocheting, while Dallas is a professional dog trainer specializing in aggressive and anxious dogs. Together, they dream of owning a farm where they can grow their own food and provide a safe haven for rescued animals. They also dabble in couples modeling, enjoying the creativity of different photographers.
